Beet and Orange Smoothie…

A really delicious variation of my ‘Super Smoothie’ recipe.

500ml water
200 g beetroot
– stem and leaf included if you can get them
25 g dates
1 fig – dried or fresh
6.5 g whole flax seeds
7 g whole hemp seeds
15 g fresh root ginger
10 g dried goji berries
3 whole orange – if you get organic orange then you can add some of the peel to suit your taste, but don’t use conventional farmed orange peel.
1 ripe banana – the kind with the spotty skins
1 apple or pear – ensure you do not add seeds as they’re toxic
1/8th tsp chilli powder
6 black peppercorns – preferably Tellicherry special extra bold
5 g whole flax seed
5 g whole hemp seed
28 g blueberries
– frozen or fresh
56g frozen berry mix – you can buy nice frozen mixes in most supermarkets
5 g fresh turmeric root – or 1.25 g powdered turmeric

Blend until smooth.

And if you’re looking for a blender, i’m currently using a Salter EK2154 1500W BlenderPro. You can find these at very good prices, under £100, if you hunt around. Huge jug and extremely powerful. Great value for money and you’ll have seriously smooth smoothies that do actually taste much better.
